ҹɫֱ Inc. Unveils 2026 Local Legislative Agenda
Louisville, Ky. (February 2, 2026) – ҹɫֱ Inc. released its 2026 Local Legislative Agenda, which outlines priorities at the city and county level that will support growth of the regional economy.
Top priorities in GLI’s sixth annual Local Agenda include revisions to Louisville’s Land Development Code that encourage the development of affordable housing units, initiatives to strengthen housing stability and workforce retention, and the expansion of public safety measures and security networks throughout downtown.
“Advocacy at the local level allows us to influence policies that have an immediate impact on business growth and talent retention. GLI’s engagement with local government ensures the business community is represented as key decisions are made,” said Lance Mann, interim president and CEO of ҹɫֱ Inc. “This year’s Local Agenda reflects the areas the business community prioritizes in the year ahead and allows our team to work closely with our local government partners to create a business-friendly environment.”
GLI’s Local Legislative Agenda reflects a member-driven process that draws on the expertise of regional business leaders serving on GLI’s five advisory committees and its Public Policy Council, which are made up of business representatives from a range of industries. The agenda is approved by GLI’s Board of Directors.
GLI also releases an annual state and federal agenda in the winter and summer respectively. These agendas guide GLI’s advocacy efforts to advance legislation that strengthens the region’s business climate.
