Economic development site consultants participated in three-day immersive experience of region

Louisville, Ky (August 26, 2022) 鈥� 夜色直播 Inc. (GLI) hosted ten site selectors and consultants at its annual Familiarization (FAM) Tour presented by LG&E and KU. The three-day event included interactive tours of Jefferson County and Southern Indiana, presentations from top employers including UPS Healthcare and Ford, pitches from county partners on their local assets, and stops at regional restaurants and tourist destinations. 鈥淭his event is critical to proactively marketing our region鈥檚 assets, amenities, and opportunities to the individuals who are helping growing companies decide where to locate and expand. Over the last three days, we put our best foot forward and showcased our region as a great place to live, work, and do business,鈥� said Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, president and CEO of GLI. 鈥淚 am confident that each participant left with an elevated view of our 15-county region which will lead to new investment and innovation in the years ahead.鈥� Site selectors, GLI staff, and One Southern Indiana staff tour the Prosser Career Education Center As the regional chamber of commerce, GLI also serves as the regional economic development organization and leader of the 夜色直播 Regional Partnership. In this role, GLI proactively markets signature industry clusters like advanced manufacturing and logistics, health care and aging innovation, and technology, bringing new leads and projects to all 15 counties. In addition, GLI runs the region鈥檚 talent attraction campaign, , to bring top talent to fill open positions. 鈥淪ite selectors are core decision makers in the expansion and relocation process, narrowing lists of prospective locations and informing their clients of assets and incentives available. GLI鈥檚 FAM Tour helps raise our region鈥檚 profile and give exposure to our growth-oriented regional economy,鈥� said Ben Pratt, GLI鈥檚 senior vice president and chief of regional economic growth.   The experience concluded with a panel discussion featuring attending site selectors, where 140 GLI investors and community leaders heard feedback on their experiences in the region. The discussion focused on how the site selectors perceive the region, what assets differentiate Louisville from peer markets, and where improvements can be made to strengthen the region鈥檚 competitive advantage.聽Among a range of positive feedback from participants, site selectors applauded the collaborative environment, innovative industry clusters strategy of the region, and abundant opportunities they see for clients in the future.   ###
