“For the past five years, the Power to Prosper Business Accelerator has exemplified GLI’s commitment to fostering a more inclusive economy, one where every business has the opportunity to grow and become a major economic driver,” said Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, president and CEO of GLI. “These entrepreneurs have worked tirelessly to strategically expand their businesses, and I look forward to seeing how they apply what they’ve learned in the program to further strengthen our region’s thriving economy.”

Participants took part in a structured series of sessions that started in April and are designed to strengthen core business practices and build long-term strategies to guide their companies. The experience concluded with each graduate presenting a forward-looking three-year growth plan to local business leaders, highlighting their progress and future potential.
Guided by GLI’s Economic Inclusion team, Dana Johnson and Dr. Eric Jordan, the program is facilitated by Miguel Hampton, CEO of F5 Enterprises, who leads participants through the curriculum. The content is delivered in collaboration with national consulting firm, Interise, and their award winning StreetWise ‘MBA’™. Thanks to the generosity of GLI investor, Papa Johns, the $15,000 per person program is offered free of charge to participants.
“This initiative is about providing participants with the knowledge and connections to take their business to the next level,” said Dana Johnson, VP of Economic Inclusion at GLI. “Our role is to equip the graduates with the tools they need today, while helping them build relationships that will lead to lasting opportunities. I am thankful to GLI’s investors who make this program possible, and I am excited to see the new opportunities that come to our 2025 graduates who have worked diligently over the last eight months to invest in their business’ growth.”
